FIVE STAR Diesel Air Intake & EGR Cleaner is a strong cleaning agent which safely & effectively removes soot, carbon deposits & blow by from the EGR and Air Intake System.
Performance & power will be restored. Common Rail Turbo diesel engines use Exhaust Gas Recirculation systems (EGR) which is designed to reduce emissions, but can suffer from harmful
deposits. Keep the system properly cleaned from soot & carbon build up as this can severely restrict the flow and lead to EGR valve sticking which causes poor performance.
Directions For Use
Warm up engine to operating temperature. Remove all hoses needed & intercooler if necessary to gain direct access to the throttle body. With a warm engine, maintain engine between 2000 & 3000 rpm, spray product into the air intake past the throttle plate. Spray with short intervals of up to 5 seconds each burst. After each burst, wait until the engine runs stable again before continued spraying. Engine knocking will occur, this is normal. If there is excessive knocking, stop spraying immediately & allow engine to regain normal idle & repeat the process but using shorter spraying intervals. Let engine run at idle for 10 minutes before turning off. Reattach hoses, then drive for 5 to 10 km without thrashing the engine. White Exhaust smoke will slowly dissipate over a short period while driving. Allow engine to idle again before switching off.
IMPORTANT: heavily carboned air intake systems can have carbon flake off & pass through the engine, damaging vital components. Under these circumstances the air intake system should be
removed & cleaned separately.
